Oolitic Limestone, Sedimentary Rock Specimen - Approx. 1"

SKU ESNG0081
  • OOLITIC LIMESTONE | Oolitic limestone is a carbonate rock formed from the cementation of thousands of ooids. Ooids are tiny nodules formed from the accumulation of carbonate material around a nucleus. When cemented together and lithified, these ooids can form rock.
  • GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Oolitic limestone forms in reef or lagoon environments, and is useful in the classroom for lessons on depositional facies, sedimentary rocks, and stratigraphy
  • GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features
