Fluorite can be transparent or come in a variety of colors, such as purple, green & blue. Fluorite is a common mineral in both carbonate and hydrothermal rocks. Fluorite is perfect for hands on lessons in hardness, as well as the fickle method of identifying minerals by color. An excellent example for lessons in cleavage, as it is one of the few minerals that has four perfect planes of cleavage.
While each specimen will vary slightly in shape, size and color, it will measure approximately 1" in length. Each is individually packaged, labeled & barcoded for easy identification and storage.
