- Premium quality neoprene tubing hose is flexible, safe, and resilient - perfect for any science laboratory
- Tubing is 3 feet (0.9m) in length, making the hose ideal for spread-out laboratory setups
- Designed for connecting a standard 8-10mm diameter gas inlet jet to Bunsen, Tirrill, Meker and other laboratory burners
- For use with fuel sources, such as LPG (liquid petroleum gas / propane), butane gas or natural gas
This premium quality neoprene tubing hose connects your laboratory burner to a fuel source such as liquid propane, butane, or natural gas. The hose is commonly used to connect basic, flame stabilizing, Meker, Tirrill, micro, and gas adjustable Bunsen burners. Hose measures 3 feet (0.9m) in length, and both ends are designed to fit gas inlet connectors with diameter of about 8-10mm. Inner diameter at tube ends measures approximately 7mm, and outer diameter is approximately 12mm.
NOTE: Use this hose only in a laboratory setting with a gas jet; never connect it directly to a fuel source. Inspect it before every use and replace it immediately if it has holes, cracks, splits, brittleness, hardening, or brown or black discoloration. Keep the hose away from open flames and the hot burner barrel, and never force it onto a gas jet or hose barb larger than 10 mm. Designed for 8–10 mm connections. Neoprene naturally degrades over time with exposure to heat and gas, and using a damaged hose may create a fire hazard. Recommended replacement: every 3–6 months with regular use.
