  • COARSE WHITE MARBLE | Marble is a metamorphic rock formed from limestone. The high-pressure, low-heat alteration leads to a massive crystalline rock that can form a variety of shapes. Marble is mined heavily for use in buildings and furniture, and has traditionally been used in architecture as well.
  • GREAT FOR GEOLOGY CLASSROOMS | Though much denser than limestone, marble will still effervesce in acid, making it useful in identification exercises. This set of six samples is excellent for group study and examination
  • GEOLOGIST SELECTED | Each specimen is selected and hand processed by an actual geologist, ensuring each sample exhibits defining features
  • LOCALLY PROCESSED | Our rock and mineral samples are sourced from a variety of locations around the world and are processed in Victor, NY
  • LABELED PACKAGING | Samples are packaged in a transparent bag, labeled & barcoded for easy identification
